Dudu-Osun®, the original Black Soap from Africa with its unadulterated ancient African fragrance, is uniquely nourishing and highly versatile. Can be used on the whole body: as gentle hand washing soap, instead of shower gel, for facial cleansing or as shaving soap. Suitable for the whole family and for any skin type.
Dudu-Osun® is traditionally produced in Nigeria by Tropical Natural Ltd. using fair and sustainable methods. This soap is not organic certified, but it contains naturally occurring skincare components, which have been used for beauty treatments in Africa for centuries.
Traditionally extracted in Nigeria by regional small farmers, palm kernel oil is boiled in water with ash (from burnt palm leaves and cacao pods), using modern technology and a traditional formula. It is the ash that gives the pressed natural soap its characteristic black colour. All other care components, like shea butter, aloe vera, honey and lime juice, are only added after the saponification process, preserving the high quality. The superior, cold-pressed shea butter is traditionally extracted from the nuts of the shea (vitellaria) tree, which is known to have healing properties, and it is this that gives Dudu-Osun® its particularly nourishing and moisturising properties.
Recommended use:
The African natural soap for the whole family replaces shower gel, shampoo and shaving soap. Lather the soap well with water and rub onto the skin or apply to hair. For a face mask, spread the thick, smooth soap foam on the skin and leave until touch dry, before rinsing with clean water. The Black Soap can also be used as a classic shaving soap. Apply the shaving foam to the areas to be shaved, shave as normal and rinse off the residue with clean water.
